In light of the recent NSW Sydney outbreak and most recent NSW health advice please be reminded all clubs participating in NSWRL competitions are required to follow the latest NSW Public Health Orders and Restrictions. A COVID safety plan must be in place and followed as per the NSW Office of Sport, in particular:
- Attendance tracking using a Service NSW QR code
- Apply the appropriate social distancing and m2 rule as dictated by NSW Health or NSW Office of Sport
- Cleanliness and ensuring hand sanitising is available
- Ascertain where and when facemasks apply

Do players wear them before and after the games?? Players do not have to wear masks whist warming up but they will need to wear them when entering and leaving the venue.
Surely not during the games?? Masks are not required to be worn whist playing Rugby League.
Also are all match officials, first aiders, ground managers required to wear them? Yes First Aiders, Ground Managers etc are required to wear a mask as per the NSW Government directive.
Will this also effect water on the field after a try is scored ?? So far there are no changes to these rules.
How are we supposed to stop every person who turns up to wear a mask. We either need to cancel the round completely or someone needs to organise to have Police at every home game. This is a NSW Government directive. If a person is not wearing a mask they are to be turned away. If they argue or refuse, call the police.
Scheduled photo day this Saturday. Can this go ahead? Do they have to wear masks for their photos? Photos days can go ahead. No the players and staff are not required to wear a mask during the photo. Minimise gathering time.
Does this also applies for training for the next week as well? Yes this applies for training next week. These directives are in place for at least the next 7 days.
Do all coaching staff & parents have to wear masks during training as well as game day? Yes all coaching staff and parents are required to wear masks.

We normally would do a bbq Thursday nights is that allowed? Yes however you will need to adhere to the restrictions eg 1 person per 4 sq m rule etc.
Are we allowed to run a canteen on Saturday ? Yes – see attachment for further information
Do we need to do another canteen covid plan? We had one for 2020 No – but you need to be doing everything you committed to do in this plan
Do we have to change our existing covid plans ? No changes need to be made at this stage.
